De brief voor de koning, or The Letter for the King by Tonke Dragt first published 1962. I bought this from a department store, de Bijenkorf on a recent trip to Amsterdam. Do I speak Dutch? No. Will I ever? Honestly, probably not. Books in their original languages make for pretty cool souvenirs though, I think. The English translation is on my TBR list, it’s a children’s novel, towards the younger end of YA, I suspect, but I’ve heard good things.
It’s okay to own a book that I’ll probably never be able to read, right?
