Teaser Tuesday Stardust

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm

You can join in too! Just do the following.

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Hey guys, so this week’s Teaser might not be all that much of a teaser since the book was released as a film a few years back. Nevertheless, it’s what I’m reading at the moment and I absolutely love this man’s stories so I’m featuring him anyway.

Dunstan shrugged. “All the rooms have gone by now,” he said. “I remember that when I was a boy of nine, my mother and my father sent me to sleep out in the rafters of the cow byre for a week, and let my room to a lady from the Orient, and her family and servants.”

7% Kindle, Stardust by Neil Gaiman, Paperback ISBN: 9780755322824

You all know the drill by now, leave your comments below. I’m looking forward to another Teaser Tuesday!

  • Saw the movie, but for some reason never read the book. I need to fix that. Nice tease 🙂

    My Tease

    • Yeah, I saw the film too when it first came out but for some reason, despite my love of Gaiman’s writing, I’ve only just got around to reading Stardust.

Thanks for stopping by, I’ll head over and give your teaser a read right now!

Aah I’ve read half of ‘Stardust’ and absolutely love the film! I really enjoy Gaiman’s writing style and there is something really funny about it as well! I hope you enjoy the rest of the book! Thanks for stopping by 🙂 I hope you have a great week!

    • I really enjoyed the film too, it’s great escapism and a beautiful love story. Is there any reason why you only read half the book?

      Thanks for stopping by!

  • So that’s another book on my TBR. I loved the film but have never read the book, that shall hopefully change soonish…

    • Ooh you should read it. Have you ever read any Gaiman before? His writing style is just magical.

      Thanks for stopping by!

      • No I’ve not read any before. It’s really bad but I actually only know of him because of the film

  • I’ve heard of this one! Still, sleeping out in the rafters is a bit harsh :/

    • Yeah, I suppose it is! You should read it; I highly recommend Mr Gaiman’s stuff.

  • Sonia Lal

Poor child. I hope his parents got a good price for the room.

    • I absolutely recommend Gaiman. American Gods is my all time favourite.

  • Kym Thorpe

I haven’t seen the film or read the book, so I enjoyed the Teaser. 🙂
