When not reading or catching up on all of the film and TV that she has no time to watch, you can find Charly somewhere in Leeds where she works as an Information Services Librarian. She loves libraries because, of course, they contain books but also because she’s a bit of a cataloguing and classifying nut- hence the nickname, Dewey.

In July 2015, she finished up her Postgraduate Diploma in Library and Information Management at Manchester Metropolitan University, is currently working towards chartership status with the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals, and would love to start an MA Children’s Literature one day.

She’ll read almost anything except Mills and Boon type romances, she just can’t. Her favourite genres are sci-fi and fantasy, and contemporary fiction although in 2016 she hopes to read more classics and literary fiction.

Here at Dewey Girl, she writes about her love of books, posts reviews, book hauls and monthly wrap ups as well as items featuring bookish gifts she has bought and events that she has been to.

She is available to review books on request from publishers and agents, contact details are available here.
